1970 First Earth Day
Let’s go back to the 60s and 70s, it was not just an era of change and the memorable hits of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, and so much more but it was also the boom of environment awareness. In 1969 the US Senior of Wisconsin witnessed the horrible aftermath of a massive oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara. The following year on April 22, 1970 Earth Day was born. On this day 20 million Americans gather together in peaceful protest for a healthier sustainable environment. The want for sustainability was unanimous from coast to coast.

As the years passed and the millennium approached there started a new worry which we know now as global warming and the push for clean energy became more apparent.
