MIRACLE FLIGHTS LAUNCHES “LIGHTS FOR FLIGHTS POWERED BY SOL-UP” AT DOWNTOWN SUMMERLIN® NOVEMBER 14, 2022 at 4:30 P.M.

Giant light displays spread holiday cheer throughout Downtown Summerlin, provide ultimate Instagram-worthy backdrop for holiday photo ops, generate awareness of local nonprofit

Miracle Flights, a national nonprofit based in Las Vegas that provides free air transportation to children and adults who need assistance reaching medical care not available in their home communities, announces the return of “Lights for Flights Powered by Sol-Up” at Downtown Summerlin® for the 2022 holiday season.

The interactive holiday photo opportunity includes six oversized illuminated words – LOVE, JOY, HOPE, PEACE, SOAR and MIRACLE - that embody the mission of Miracle Flights – and give holiday shoppers the opportunity to give back to one of Las Vegas’ favorite nonprofits.

The lighted signs, placed at high-traffic locations throughout Downtown Summerlin, will be illuminated at 5 p.m. on Nov. 14 with a brief and special ceremony and will remain lighted from dusk to dawn every day throughout the holiday season. Two Las Vegas-based families will share their powerful stories of the transformative support they received from Miracle Flights to access life-saving medical treatment.

Sponsored by Sol-Up and presented by Multipure, the signs generate awareness and help raise funds for Miracle Flights by providing visitors with a QR code that takes them to a landing page to encourage donations to the nonprofit. Visitors to Downtown Summerlin will also be encouraged to post and share their photos with the giant lighted holiday words using the hashtag #LightsForFlights.

“Lights for Flights is a beautiful symbol of the holiday season and a great way to bring the community together and educate them about our organization while raising funds for families and children who are facing difficult health challenges,” said Mark E. Brown, CEO, Miracle Flights. “We appreciate this special partnership with Downtown Summerlin.”

“Downtown Summerlin is thrilled to bring back Miracle Flights for this unique and interactive holiday family experience,” stated Halee Harczynski, senior marketing director, Downtown Summerlin. “The holidays are all about helping those in need. We can’t think of a better way than through this fun and cheerful experience that gives back while enhancing the holiday vibe at Downtown Summerlin.”
